Neurodynamics in physiotherapy refers to the assessment and treatment of the mechanical and physiological functions of the nervous system as it moves through the body. It involves evaluating how nerves glide, stretch, and respond to movement and tension, particularly in relation to musculoskeletal disorders. By using specific mobilization techniques, we aim to restore normal nerve mobility, reduce pain, and improve function.
This approach is especially valuable in conditions like sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, and cervical radiculopathy, where nerve irritation or entrapment contributes to a patient’s symptoms.
